AsiansBelong is a project dedicated to reaffirming that the Asian community is an integral part of America’s fabric. It emerged in response to the rise in negativity, discrimination, and violence against the Asian community during the coronavirus pandemic.
Led by a diverse group of volunteers, this initiative seeks to engage the public in recognizing the contributions of Asian Americans and the challenges the community continues to face today. Through sharing the stories of key historical figures in Asian American immigrant history, AsiansBelong aims to show how deeply Asian Americans have shaped—and continue to shape—this nation.
In San Francisco, AsiansBelong supports Asian American immigrants as they navigate housing, job training, and entrepreneurship. When individuals are able to settle and thrive, a stronger sense of belonging naturally follows.
AsiansBelong stands for values that are both Asian American and fundamentally American. We believe in excellent and equitable public education as a powerful tool to uplift the next generation.
In challenging times, AsiansBelong has given our community a voice, fostering belonging and empowerment. It achieves this by working in partnership with other anti-Asian hate organizations, combating discrimination, promoting social and economic justice, and uniting the community around shared values.
